Frequently Asked Questions
1. How can I unsubscribe from this service?
If you want to unsubscribe from the MyPengo service, you can do this very easily by sending a text message with the word STOP to 88400. Another way is by sending an e-mail by using the e-mail form located at www.smscustomercare.com. You will be unsubscribed within 24 hours. You could also call our service number 1 888 353 2801) for extra information. Do not call this number if you are a Canadian subscriber.2. I didn't know that I had to pay for this service?
We clearly communicate, not only on our website, but also in our commercials (visually and/or verbally) what the price per message is. Furthermore after a customer subscribes he or she will also receive a welcome message. This message contains the price information and un-subscription information.3. I didn’t know I subscribed to a subscription service?
In all our advertisements we clearly communicate that this is a subscription service. We also clearly state what the price per message is.4. I have never subscribed to this service, but I am receiving messages, how is this possible?
It is impossible that customers receive messages at random on their mobile phone. The only way to subscribe to our service is by sending a text message with the keyword (MYPENGO) from the mobile phone number that receives the messages to the service or enter their mobile into the website. Either way, you received a double opt in request, asking you to confirm the subscription and accepting the terms and conditions, either by texting in YES or entering a PIN code received in the message. Maybe somebody else used your mobile phone to subscribe to the service. In any case we are not allowed to send any messages, before somebody actually subscribes.5. My child subscribed to the service, can I get a refund?
We clearly communicate in all our advertisements that you have to be the legal owner and bill payer to subscribe. Beside this we clearly state that children under 18 must seek parental approval before subscribing to any of our services. In every case, the contracting party of the mobile phone, which receives the text messages, is responsible for the mobile phone. So, we are very sorry, but in this case you don't get a refund.6. In which cases do I get a refund?
Customers can receive a refund in two cases:- When there was a technical failure with the service
7. What are the costs for using the service?
